happy halloween

We've had a great time in the orchard and the pumpkin patch with everyone this fall.

Thanks for coming out and helping with the harvest. We hope the pumpins you picked are "wowing" the neighbors and that you have some world-class jack-o-lanterns on your front porch.

mystery plants

A scavenger hunt of sorts for plant lovers. Can you find them all?

monarch logoMonarch Waystation - This summer we registered our fall butterfly garden as a Monarch Waystation. Check out the Monarch Watch web site for more details on this program. The Monarchs migrated through the orchard in mid-September on their way to Mexico for the winter. We tagged a few to help track their progress. We wish them well on their journeys.

Misadventures of the Corn Maze Bandit --He's a Husker Too!

Up to his old tricks -- caught in the act of enjoying a bit of Indian corn this past weekend. Happily, he is not interested in munching on pumpkins. He seems content to limit his diet to corn and apples.

Let's hope he doesn't develop a taste for pumpkins.
