Peaches ripen on the trees.
Fruit salad: Slice peaches and mix with fresh raspberries and cantaloupe. Splash with lime juice for a fabulous fall fruit salad. Super easy and delicious.

Peach Enchiladas - "Southern Living" Magazine featured great peach recipes in their July issue. We particularly liked this recipe because the kids can help assemble the "enchiladas." Cut the butter in half and added some toasted pecans for texture - even better.
Paula Deen's Peach Cobbler Even if you back-off on the butter, this is still scrumptious! Toss on some raspberries for an eye-catching dessert.

Pick your own peaches
As promised, the peaches didn't last long. Sorry, we had so many visitors on Saturday, the peaches got picked in record time. Thanks to those who came out and helped us with the harvest!
We're hoping that some of the peach trees in our new orchard will bear fruit next fall so there will be more to go around.

Baby peach trees - You may see some young trees lining our driveway. Yes, we've been expanding our peach "orchard." It will take a few years for the new planting to yield fruit, but we look forward to more peaches in the years to come.
