Cider update – we just made another batch of cider on 10/3 so we should have plenty on hand for the weekend!
We make our own fresh-pressed cider each fall, starting around mid-September once the Jonathans ripen. We then add a mix of other varieties for full flavor.
It’s a simple recipe — All apples, no added sugar, no added water. Speaking of recipes, here is one for apple cider donuts – good stuff!
Our cider is NOT pasteurized, so it is important to keep it refrigerated. We are told that for those looking to do a bit of home brewing it is perfect for hard cider
And, if you wonder why our slushies taste so good . . . it all starts out with this great cider.
Fun Fact: It takes over 30 apples to make a gallon of cider.
